August 29th will be a “Morning of Remembrance” to honor Moraga Police Corporal Kevin Mooney, who died of COVID-19 on August 21st, 2021.

On Aug. 29th members of our community will gather at SiSi Caffe where Kevin was a familiar face enjoying his morning coffee with the citizen’s he loved serving. I knew Kevin since 1992 following Desert Storm.  Kevin loved the Marines and being a cop.

Please join us for a car show amongst Moraga’s wooded hills. Enjoy both the lovely cars and hear fond memories about Kevin’s good deeds from those he served. Kevin Mooney was a true man-of-service. Kevin inspired the collection of thousands of toys for the Marine Corps Toys for Tots. He was also proponent of Flags Across America, the  “National Day of Remembrance” to honor those who served in Afghanistan this August 31st. The Moraga Police Department called Kevin “a fierce advocate for victims and a relentless pursuer of criminals. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend to many. So join us at the Fifth Sundays Cars and Coffee, Aug 29, 2021 8:00 AM – 10:00 AM.” SiSi Caffe is located at 910 Country Club Road, Moraga.
